Your celebration, your choiceThe search for a celebrant isn't an easy one. I totally get it. I can't guarantee that I am the right person for you. You need a celebrant who connects with you, your story and the type of ceremony you want to hold.
How I became a celebrantBecoming a celebrant was a lightbulb moment for me. The pandemic changed everything and I was seeking something new and exciting and being a celebrant ticked all of the right boxes.
Being a celebrant is about being at the heart of what it means to be human and being present during lifes major milestones. What an honour it is to play a small part in people's lives during a pivotal moment in their journey!
I love people and listening to their stories. I find human beings fascinating and have a curious and enquiring mind; I love a good story, finding out about what makes people tick and what brought them to this moment in their lives.
Who I amI'm a friendly, approachable, caring, thoughtful, down-to-earth and fun loving celebrant with a good sense of humour, oodles of enthusiasm and a can-do attitude. Working with couples and families, crafting beautiful ceremonies and bringing them to life is an absolute joy. I am a deeply loyal and committed person and never do anything half-heartedly, so when you choose me as your celebrant I will do everything I can to make sure that your day is truly unforgettable!
I have three birth children and two foster daughters, who all mean the world to me. I live in Eastbourne in East Sussex.
My passionsI love singing, dancing, comedy nights, going to the theatre and day trips to London, splashing in the sea, walking on the Downs, mucking around in my VW Campervan, reading, camping and spending time with friends and family. Having a health work/life balance is important to me, although being self-employed means I rarely switch off!
My various hats!I work for myself and wear several different hats! Alongside my work as an independent celebrant, I teach weekly Pilates, Yoga and Zumba classes at a local health and wellbeing centre. I also manage a rock, pop and gospel choir in Eastbourne called
The Happy Place Choir (which is available to sing at ceremonies, by the way!) Singing and performing with The Happy Place Choir gives me an immense amount of joy.
Certified CelebrantI am a certified independent celebrant, delivering ceremonies across Sussex and beyond. I trained with two exceptional celebrants, Natasha Johnson and Claire Bradford at the
Celebrants Collective where I qualified as a wedding, funeral and naming celebrant. I was also very fortunate to participate in the first ever Creative Celebrant Workshop in May 2021 which was truly inspirational and illuminating.
As a celebrant, I am continuously learning and grab any opportunity for further study and self-development. I recently took part in the Celebrant Winterfest, which involved over 18 speakers over two days - it was intense!
I'm a keen writer and have a BA Honours Degree in Writing & Publishing. My love of creative writing has proven to be very useful when writing ceremony scripts and coming up with creative ideas.
But really, the best way to get to know who I am is to pick up the phone or send me a message. There is no obligation or commitment required. It will just give you a chance to figure out if I am the right celebrant for you.
A quick What's App message to 07877 956721 is all you need to take the first step!
Warm wishes,
Celine
