As an independent Funeral Celebrant, I create authentic, heartfelt and compassionate funeral services that shine a light on a life well lived.
Losing someone you love can often be overwhelming, painful and deeply emotional and my role is to provide you with a calming and supportive presence during this difficult time.
Having lost my amazing mum a few years ago, I know only too well the sense of bewilderment, grief and pain of loss. The kindness and support shown to me at the time by the funeral celebrant and Funeral Director made a difficult time so much more bearable.
My role as a Funeral Celebrant is to gently guide and support you through this difficult time, helping to craft a meaningful farewell that truly reflects your loved one’s personality, values, and the impact they had on those around them. My aim is to bring comfort and calm while you navigate your loss.
A funeral is not only a time to grieve but also an opportunity to celebrate your loved one's life. I offer funeral celebrant services that focus on creating a funeral ceremony as individual as the person it honours. Together, we will capture their story, their interests, their humour, and their essence, ensuring their memory is celebrated in an authentic and uplifting way.
I will take the time to get to know you and your loved one - listening to your memories, hearing your stories, and understanding what made them special. We can include meaningful readings, favourite songs or hymns, rituals, or personal tributes - whatever feels right for you and your family. I can also provide guidance on how to craft a personal tribute, if desired, and suggest ideas for making the service more personal and unique.
Once we’ve gathered everything that tells your loved one’s story, I will create a bespoke ceremony that captures their spirit. I’ll share the draft with you to ensure every word feels right before the day itself.
Whether you would like a traditional funeral in a crematorium, or something more unique, such as a woodland service, community venue, or even your own garden, I can help bring your vision to life. You don’t need a special licence to hold a funeral ceremony / celebration of life in most locations - just the venue’s permission - giving you the freedom to say farewell in a place that feels meaningful.
A celebrant-led funeral service can be religious, non-religious, spiritual, or completely secular. It can include hymns, prayers, or none at all. What matters most is that it honours your loved one’s beliefs, values, and the life they lived.

How It Works
- Contact me directly or let your chosen Funeral Director know that you’d like to use my funeral celebrant services.
- Meet to talk - We’ll arrange a meeting, either at your home or at the Funeral Director’s, to share stories, memories, and reflections about your loved one.
- Learn their story - I’ll listen carefully to understand who they were, what they loved, and what made them unique.
- Create together - We’ll discuss readings, music, personal tributes and any special touches you’d like to include.
- Craft the ceremony - I’ll design a thoughtful, personalised service that celebrates your loved one’s life with warmth and authenticity.
- Coordinate and support – I’ll liaise with the Funeral Director and others involved to ensure everything runs smoothly, and I can step in to read or speak if anyone finds it too difficult on the day.
- A lasting keepsake - After the ceremony, I can provide you with a copy of the final script as a cherished memento.

Please contact me for an individual quote if the service is outside this area. Services for children under the age of 18 are free.
